Exciting Opportunities to Cultivate Talents & Future-Ready Skills

The Extracurricular Programme at King's College Murcia complements the core curriculum by offering a wide variety of activities that promote personal growth, artistic expression, creativity, physical fitness, entrepreneurship, and leadership. Open to students of all ages and abilities, and delivered by highly experienced teachers and coaches, the programme encourages children to explore their passions, discover new interests, and refine their talents beyond the classroom. Students have access to a wide range of clubs, societies, after-school activities, and additional classes, helping them build a strong foundation of knowledge and real-life skills for long-term success and fulfilment.

Extracurricular Activities

Visual & Performing Arts

In addition to core curriculum lessons in visual and performing arts, students from the early years onwards can refine their talents through our fine arts extracurricular programme. This includes performing arts activities such as drama, dance, instrumental music tuition (including guitar and ukulele), choir, and singing, with opportunities to showcase their skills in school productions and concerts.

Students can also explore visual arts, such as arts and crafts, as part of the extracurricular programme. Engaging in these artistic activities helps them develop individuality, creativity, communication, self-expression, confidence, and teamwork—key life skills for future success. We have a highly trained specialist dance teacher who offers classical and contemporary dance lessons in our brand-new dance studio, alongside expert teachers and coaches for the other activities.

Sports

We encourage students to participate in sports activities not only to enhance their skills beyond Physical Education classes but also to promote long-term healthy and active lifestyles.

Our students have the opportunity to engage in competitive sports both within the curriculum and through co-curricular clubs. Being part of a team fosters valuable skills such as tactical awareness, strategic thinking, teamwork, fair play, and the ability to handle both victory and defeat gracefully.

Extracurricular sports opportunities include team activities such as football, basketball, and volleyball, as well as individual pursuits such as swimming, athletics, tennis, and table tennis. Students can also develop discipline and skills in martial arts, including Judo, under the guidance of an expert Olympian coach.
