ICT Equipment
We currently have an 2 ICT Suites. One in the Secondary department and one in the Primary Department. Both with 27 computers. We also have a computer in every classrooms with Interactive whiteboard and projector. We have 3 iPad Mini’s, one for each department in the school, plus an iPad for each member of staff in early years, which can be used by the staff for updating the children’s on-line Learning journal.
Sports Facilities
Our floodlit, synthetic 7-a-side Astroturf Football pitch is one of the first things you see as you drive into Kings. The opportunity to have lessons on the synthetic surface, used by a number of professional football clubs, allows for maximum performance at all times with no worries about the quality of the surface or the varying bounces you can get on normal grass pitches.
Our well equipped indoor Sports Hall consists of 3 full size Badminton Courts, Netball Court, 1 large and 2 mini Basketball Courts, Climbing ropes, Wall bars and a new Trampoline with all the necessary safety equipment.
The hard-court facilities at Kings are excellent. With seating for more than 400 pupils it makes it an excellent venue for inter-house and School competitions. With its 3 Tennis courts and Netball courts, this facility can be used for various different Sporting occasions.
The Dance Studio with its mirrored walls and dancing aids, combined with an excellent sound system allows all our children to enjoy the best in Dance within our curriculum. From Ballet to Street Dance, all aspects of Dance can be created in our state of the art facility.
Library
We are fortunate to have three libraries, one for early years/KS1, one for KS2 and one for KS3. Our KS1 library is equipped with a portable Interactive Whiteboard, non-fiction and reading scheme books.
Our KS2 library has an Interactive Whiteboard, a computer whereby children can log in/out books using micro-librarian. Work stations and a range of fiction, non-fiction and reference books. At present the KS2 library is used by KS3 children. As the school grows KS3 children will have their own library on the second floor plus a number of ICT work stations.
Science Laboratories
We have three science laboratories, one each for Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Each laboratory is equipped with state of the art resources, Interactive Whiteboards and access to the internet. The laboratories are well equipped to meet the demands of the IGCSE/A level courses.
Art
The Art Department is always at the heart of the school curriculum and focuses on stimulating children’s imagination and their ability to visually communicate and express ideas and feelings in a creative way.
The Art Department has gone from strength to strength in recent years, which includes a newly refurbished main Art room, equipped with an Interactive whiteboard, computers with excellent facilities and a primary focused Art room which enables students to produce work of real quality.
